    hi , i have a mkv file that includes 2 audio tracks and 2 subtitles tracks, and it has 255 mb , i want to make it be like 180-200mb, i tried to do the following , extract all tracks with mkvextractGUI , then i converted the video to avi ,so the video in avi had 165 mb , i succeded in adding the audio track i wish but i cant add the subtitles...i lost like 5 hours searching and trying things , pls help
    p.s it doesn matter the format to convert my goal is to make file weight 180-200Mb and get rid of unwanted audio track

  2. Are you just trying to shrink file size? Only for PC play or standalone DVD?

    When you have separate streams (video, audio, subtitle), just select the ones you want to keep and remux them with avimuxgui or mkvmerge to keep a mkv container

    If you want to keep your re-encoded avi, you may have to convert your subtitle to a different format (like .srt) using subtitle workshop (depending on what the original format was)

    yes , im trying to shrink file size,i tried to just remove the audio that i dont want and convert it to avi with Vdub but from 255 it shrinked to 233 which is to good , its too big
    P.s. sorry for my english,i cant really express myself clearly
