  1. Has anyone here ever had two different versions of Nero installed on the same computer? If so, what is the proper to install both?

  2. As long as you put the program files in different folders, you should be able to install two different versions. My question is why would you want to?

! To me, the proper way to treat Nero is not to use it at all...

I don't believe there's an option. The newer version will uninstall the older one automatically before it can continue installing. That's my experience.

You cannot use two versions at the same time. To be able to install new one, old has to be uninstalled first.

That is because you are using the same program directory.

Create a new folder, name it something else....Install to that folder. I have run multiple versions of the same software before. All you do is install to a different folder.

You should then be able to run both versions.

You could be right because I never tried that. I paid for only one license and it's an Ultra upgrade. I had to use the same directory in order to obtain a legal license. Matter of fact, it didn't even give me an option to choose a different directory when I installed mine. I upgraded from 6 to 7 and from 7 to 8, all were the same situation. No option to choose directory when performed an upgrade.

Normally this is done by performing a custom install. That way you can change location.

Doesn't Nero install some files to the system directories, as well? I know they install their own ASPI drivers...
