I've been spending the past 2 weeks ripping my DVD library to AVI (X.264 / AC3 5.1). It seems that all of the files share the same thing, the volume is much lower than the original. I have to crank the volume all the way up to hear. The volume boost is enabled by default in FairUse settings. I'm a little disappointed, especially since I've spent so much time on this.
Any idea how to repair this without sacrificing any of the original audio quality? Should I be doing anything special as I go forward using FairUse?
Thanks.

Fairuse wizard will just copy the ac3 audio if you make an avi with ac3 audio. No conversion.

Have you tried use the ac3 filter as ac3 decoder?
