This is just one of the those WTF moments.
A few weeks ago I was in the mood to play some pinball on the PC (the free MS pinball is really lame) and I couldn't find anything decent worth playing. I remembered my brother having a few that we played awhile back so the next time I was over at his place I asked to borrow his game discs. Turns out his kids had been playing it lately and it now no longer worked. It appears that somehow the PC (with intervention from the kids I'm sure) had tried to burn onto the game disc. Now this should be impossible, the burner should sense that it wasn't recordable media. However, he showed me the disc, and sure enough you can clearly see the "burned" area of the disc (about half a disc worth of data) and now the disc is no longer recognized in any player. Anyone else seen anything like this?

Not only should the drive sense that the disc isn't recordable, it should have sensed that it had data on it and was closed. Very strange. I've never heard of that before.

Assuming the supernatural has not been invoked, I suspect the game was on CD-RW media and was erased.
Just because a disc has a printed top does not mean it was commerically pressed. -
Possibly an out-of-place, but here it goes:
no pinball software~simulation can take the place of a real table,
and I still miss the ones from the 60s and the 70s.

Get 'The Machine:Bride of Pinbot' table.

Get the roms.
There's a guide somewhere off the forums page. Get everything installed, roms and table where they go. First start clears the roms but won't start, close then restart the table. Great machine, others to try:
The Addams Family
Twilight Zone
Tales from the Crypt
Elvira and the party monsters
Creature from the black lagoon -
Before i opened this thread i thought you were someone asking for a burner that will burn commercial media
Like the people that ask where to get media that is silver like pressed dvd's so theirs will look like real ones
That's a trip.... i imagine if you could get a burner to try and record to a pressed disc it would damage the disc and the burner....
If this is in fact what happened.... something is certainly defective, & i could not get that burner out of my system and into the trash fast enough!!!!!!!!!!!! -
