  1. Ive been using this program for awhile and have had no problems. Well it keeps messing up on this one file. The file is NTSC MSMPEG4 at 720x480. After the conversion I end up with one VOB at 600Megs. Playback is just a green screen and with the sound that is suposed to be there.

    Any sugestions?

    Thanks

Far back in history, I had that green screen phenomenon with all my XviDs I tried to reencode. It's a codec related problem, and for me, the cure was to change the fourCC to DX50 instead of XVID.

  4. Forgot to mention. that when playing the original file on the computer it plays fine. Only the files created from svcd2dvd playback with a green screen.

  7. Tell me wht log you need and it shall be posted. I did not make the final DVD. I test them in windows before I make a coster. Here is another strange thing. When adding to aset the space bar goes red at the end. I hit auto fit and it takes it down to DVD-5 with no issue but only puts out 1 600meg VOB file instead of the usual 4 1gig vob files and a vob with the excess.

  8. If you are using the latest version, the logs are under the help button. Post the log for the run that gave you the green video. Older versions (older than 2.5) have the logs in the "logs" folder in the S2D install folder

  9. Ok I found the file but am having trouble uploading it. Is there an email I can send it to? The file is 8.7 megs. Don't know why it is that big.

Did you zip it? 8MB is too big otherwise.

There are tons of "pixel format conversion not handled" errors from ffmpeg which i suspect is the issue. Maybe an update to the latest version of SVCD2DVD will resolve this...

  15. I installed the newest SVCD2DVD. The result is both the same and different. I still get a green screen on the output files but the file size is now 80megs. I guess this avi just does not want to be converted. Unless Chrissy boy wants to continue to try and troubleshoot this file I will call it a lost cause and give up on it. Can't expect every file to work I guess. 1 out of how many 100 is not bad at all. I will just move on and keep converting other files. Great program.

I concur - it looks like the program is choking on that one file... Sorry about that...

I have a problem converting .ts files with version 3.5.3500 (downloaded Nov. 24th).

    - I have a 7GB .ts file
    - I load the file into the assets window and the time stamp shows up with some crazy negative number like -1.07
    - I push the "autofit" button
    - The resulting MPG is way below 4GB, around 1.5G and the image quality is very poor when the output files in the video folder are all burned to DVD.

I tried breaking the 7G file in to smaller pieces and loading independently as 2,3 and 4 parts, but always one of the parts has that crazy negative number for time duration.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug?

May i suggest you run the file through VideoReDo's QuickStream Fix to sort out the dodgy timestamps in the file? It should take a few minutes and then you should be able to use the file with no issues.

That fixed it. Thanks. VideoRedo is only a 15 day trial without buying it. I'm not super-excited about having to buy another application. Is there any freeware that does the same thing?
