  1. I remember a while back reading a post about the fact that Europe does not follow the same "Blu-ray exclusive" or "HD-DVD exclusive" lists that the US follows. I.E. some movies only available in BD are available on HD-DVD in Europe, and vice-versa.

In the thread that followed, someone listed a few online retailers who carried movies, with US prices. Either US-based, or US-friendly. Does anyone know any of those retailers? The only one I know of is Amazon.co.uk, which does not display US prices/shipping.

    Anyone?

    Thanks,
    Mike

You certainly can buy from Amazon.co.uk if you are in the USA. I've done it. The exchange rate for the American Peso (I'm American by the way and horrified at how worthless our currency has become, hence the comment) is about 2 to the British pound, so you cost is roughly twice the price in US pesos (cough cough), I mean US dollars. Shipping is not too bad from the UK and delivery times are very good. You'll have to go through checkout to find out the exact shipping costs though, but you can bail out before making the final purchase approval.

Unfortunately I don't remember the names of any of the stores that sell these imports, but I remember looking at a few web sites about it over a month ago. I didn't save any links or remember any names, but maybe someone else does.
