OK so I figured out how to export so that I use the full widescreen. However now my problem is pull down. I recorded on HDV 60i and thats how I export it. But it squishes down. Any help?

So I must have stumped everyone huh?
It seems that no one has an answer for this.

I export it to quicktime movie
Then I use the HDV 1080i60 setting
and this gives me the widescreen format
however it squishes my film as well.

What setting will fill the entire widescreen
 like it was shot? Anyone?

no, everyone else was busy most likely.
I myself only saw this post today.

You'll also have to remember many of us aren't
doing HDV yet. I myself am still shooting in SD
due to costs and other factors ( such as not having the time
to adjust my NLE and workflow for the headaches of HDV).

A good source for you is the FCS Studio Manuals,
 specifically the FCP6_HD and BroadcastManual,
 pages 36-38. Also, the FCP6manual, p.253-257.

To cut to the chase, you should somewhere in your export to QT movie
be able to select and set a 16:9 setting and make sure Letterboxing isn't checked.

taking a little time to read the manuals will help your business....."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

When I'm not here, Where can I be found?
