I want my Toshiba SD 1200 to play Region 3 dvds.

i dont know if this is right but i tried the code where you have to insert the dvd, wait for error message, press memory, press1, and press play and or press clear after that.
that wont work...XD...;;; im a newbie at this whole dvd converting thing so please help?

How can i make my toshiba SD 1200 play region 3 dvds? ((and also does Best Buy sell regoin converters for dvd players?))

  2. There are no standalone region converters, either the player allows it or it doesn't.Get yourself a Philips player at Best Buy or Walmart, they can be hacked with the remote.
BTW:The SD1200 is the first DVD player I owned,I could never get the thing to play burned media except for CD-R/W.

Not all players can be unlocked ("hacked"). If there is a known code, it will be in the DVD Hacks section.

I was trying to make two points: First, that not a players can be hacked and it's not uncommon for new versions of an existing player to be locked to prevent hack codes from working. Second, that whenever codes are found they are posted in the hacks section. If someone is nice enough to respond to your post with the code, they shoud have already posted the hack for others. At least that's how the majority of users here act.

No harm in asking, and no offense, but based on all of the posts here, everyone seems to believe ALL players can be hacked.
