  1. I've ripped a movie with smartipper and as i would like to have the subs i've did the following steps:
    dvd2avi - save project
    vfapiconvertion
    vitualdub with sub.filter

usually my next step would be framesrving to TMPGEnc, but I'd like to give cce a try. I got CCE sp 2.50 as i though that would work with virtualdub frameserver. But i cant get it to open "frameserver-file" tried with proxy on and proxy off.
Is cce really better than TMPGEnc with mpeg-1?

  4. I've tried frameserving into CCE as well, and haven't been successful. I tried your method, and it didn't work. I tried frameserving using avisynth through Flask, and it crashes Flask (version 0.6). I tried frameserving through DVDx using avisynth, and it crashes DVDx. I'm starting to doubt that CCE 2.5 can be frameserved to--despite what people say.

  6. make sure installed the handler and you turned on the aviproxy and that should help and if that doesnt work try FlaskMpeg w/ subtitlefix and frameserver useing the WrapperAvi codec that comes with Primere Video Server that should work

  7. handler is installed and tried both aviproxy on and off. where to get "wrapper avi"??? Is that a plugin for flask?

  8. go to http://www.vidoetools.net and download Video Server 0.93 installer and it will install it for you and the plugin for Flask or Xmpeg

  11. I got it to work. choosed no audio in Virtualdub and saved as .vdr.avi according to some guide, seems like my problems are solved. But it seems like the quality is better in TMPGEnc. Maybe you can change some settings to "tweak" it a little.

    ok.
.vdr.avi you say, i'll try that.
I have played around with TMPGEnc and CCE and in my eyes CCE gives better quality. thanks.

  13. Sorry i meant you'll have to include the audio in virtual dub (any wav-file should do) then disable audio in CCE.
