Hi, first, great forum to those responsible. Thank's in advance for any help I may recieve.

I use VDubMod to backup DVD's to Xvid.

All of a sudden, I can no longer choose 2 channel mp3 codec's to downmix 5.1 AC3 audio. They appear on the list of usable codec's OK, but there is no detail's in the box to the right of the list. If I click "show all format's", the full list of format's appear's, but when I select and use one, I get the error:

Error initialising audio compression:
The requested conversion is not possible.

I use VDubMod v1.6.0.0. for use with the Aud-X audio codec, which btw, does appear and is usable as normal. It is just Lame mp3 and the Fraunhofer mp3 encoder's (WMP11) which fail to work when I wish to do a basic encode.

If I use a 2ch AC3 .vob, the mp3 codec's show up and work as they should, weird!

I haven't changed anything about the way I do this, and it's driving me nut's. I've re-installed WMP11, and all of the mentioned codec's and still no better. Also tried 3 different DVD's and VirtualDubMPEG2 v1.6.15, same thing.

Any idea's?
