I have a home video DVD that looks like someone merged two titles. My question is is it possible to merge the titles so that the run time is combined as well?

Right I've been messing with VOBedit and I believe I have it sorted. I then used IFOedit to create the ifo and bup files to go along with the VOBs. Now the problem is when I try to play it with VLC I get a couple of errors. Basically something about not being able to open the MRL and unable to decrypt the entire disc.

I'm thinking it's a problem with the ifo files personally. Anybody got any advice? I've been at it for hours....would love to figure it out! Thanks

How did you merge? Just using vobedit to join vobs is not recommended.

I would try extract the video with pgcdemux or vob2mpg and then join with for example mpg2cut2. Reauthor with muxman, dvdstyler and add back the original menus with vobblanker.

But is it worth all the trouble?

I don't think it's worth all that Baldrick mate! It's only an old blank DVD containing a home movie I transferred from VHS. I did just use VobEdit on it's own to join them.

If it requires all that hassle then it's time to raise the white flag so to speak! Thanks for stopping me from wasting any more time on it!
