My gf just got a macbook and is trying to convert some .vob files to .avi. I don't have a mac so I don't really know how to trouble shoot for her. Plus she is overseas so I can't try it myself. She is telling me that she clicks encode but the file is not saving anywhere. She looked in the movies folder (that is where the .vob file is) but it is not there.
Where might it be? Or is there some other setting that she needs in order to save the file?

The default save location is the same folder as the source file, but the user can set a different location.
For a successful conversion, she can use the magnifying glass icon in the Progress window to locate the output file: a new window of the containing folder will pop up.
For an unsuccessful conversion, there may be no output file or a 0 K file, in which case a look at the Log (blue "i" icon to access) might help determine what went wrong and how to fix that.
