    Hi,
I've been reading these forums for a while now but only recently signed up.

I've got a problem with my VideoReDo TV Suite.
Before I did a system recovery on my system VideoReDo worked prefectly.
Now, I've reinstalled it and it doesn't output the 'Save As' file completely.
I add my cuts etc then when I save my output it goes into the dialog where it does 'fast frame copy' etc.
It used to take a few min and then a sound would play and a cpmpletion dialog would appear showing dropped audio and visual frames etc.
This no longer happens. It simply stops half-way through and returns back to the main editting screen.
When i check the file, it is no where near as large (MB/GB) as it should be and then when played it is significantly shorter than it should be. - The video saved seems fine, but only about half of the episode.
I am not trying to edit several hours of video in a single file nor do i get any error messages - it simply returns to the main editting screen.

    - I am inputing an MPEG2 file and trying to export as MPEG2 file.
    - In the main editting screen i can play the file, so i have all nessesary hardware and codecs installed correctly.
    - I can use either Ad-detective or manual cuts, same result.
    - It seems that the errors occur at scene 3 most of the time no matter how long the video or if it is SD or HD. (strange?)
    - I have tried several files and it still fails.
    - I am importing a *.TiVo file that has been processed with Direct Show Dump (meaning the TiVo protection is removed to create a simply MPEG2 file)

Please let me know what you would suggest to do. I have dont a recovery 3 times simply to check, maybe the recovery failed to install something one time but it occurs al the time.

    Thanks guys,
    - Peter

    Welcome to the Forums.

I know you've tried several files, but is it just one type of source? Did you try other types?

But honestly, if the problem isn't source specific and VideoReDo's (current) failing is continuing, when it did indeed work before, then I would suggest getting support to help you with a clean uninstall (which may involve changes to the registry that could be currently messed up) and then a re-install.
I hate VHS. I always did.
