No sound on your computer or standalone dvd player? Mpeg audio might not work on some standalone dvd players or you might have to change audio settings if you output to a audio receiver.

Your PC should definitely be able to play this with sound. However as Baldrick states, some weird standalone DVD player might have problems with MPEG audio. They aren't supposed to have problems with it as the PAL DVD standard allows for MPEG audio and Gspot shows that you have a PAL DVD, but some manufacturers cut corners and for all we know one of them might have decided that "nobody uses MPEG audio any more, so let's drop support for it because no one will notice."

Thank you for including the Gspot snapshot. That was very helpful for you to do that. Usually we get posts like "I can't hear sound on my DVD. Why?" with no more information of any kind and we can't even begin to diagnose the problem. We do need to know if the sound issue is on your PC or a standalone DVD player. It shouldn't be on your PC though, but if it is, try downloading and installing the VLC Media Player. Perhaps the problem is with your playback software and if so, VLC should work fine for you.

Or maybe is the soundtrack silent...

It makes perfect sense. Use "Open folder" (or directory - don't know what it says in the English version) and point it to the VIDEO_TS folder containing your VOBs, IFOs and BUPs.

Perhaps there is no sound? Even if there is an audio stream, it could be all silence. Like when WinAVI converts an AVI it can't decode the audio from; It will happily convert it anyway, and put a silent audio track in.
