I'm trying to put subtitle (.srt) to my avi video. I've read many tutorials that recommend me to use virtualdub. I've followed what the tutorial told me to do, but I still can't embed subtitle to my avi video. I've used the combination of virtualdub-subtitle workshop-divx codec-subtitle filter, but the subtitle won't show up. Please help....... Thanks

PS: I'm worried about my virtualdub. It's not an installer file, but a .zip file. Am I downloading the right file?

    Thanks in advance everyone

Virtual Dub doesn't install, it just runs from the .exe. I just 'pin' the exe to my start menu, then it's easy to find. If you think you have a corrupted version, our 'Tools' section has links to reliable downloads.

Which guide are you using? This one from Baldrick uses VD Mod, which I find a little more versatile: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic272736.html

Make sure you add VobSub and the text sub filter properly.

And since this is about subtitles, I'll move you to the Subtitle Forum.

Hi redwudz, it's you again! You've been answered most of my questions I have succesfully embed the subtitle to my video, using this tutorial http://www.divxland.org/permanentsubtitling.php. I've followed tutorial from soompi forum and another forum which I forgot. They didn't provide the few last steps.

And sorry that I put this topic in the wrong section. I didn't know that videohelp has subtitle forum

    Thanks!
