I joined some clips in Vobedit (made new ifos in Ifoedit, cleaned up with FixVts). I wanted to see how it looked in TDA but have trouble seeing the video thumbnails, especially at the edit points. I can hear the audio and see it playing. The chapter thumbnails show up in the Chapter window. The clips are all the same A/V format, and are normally visible if I joined them in TDA. What's going on?

Check each clips video bitrate prior to joining .
Audio bitrate and format of each clip should use same value's to avoid issue's .

If all was done correctly in the ifoedit task , you did use "get vts sectors" , there is no need for fixvts .

Use any other playback product to test .

By same A/V format, I meant same bitrates, so I don't think that's an issue.
I used Fixvts as a substitute for the final step in Ifoedit, "Mock strip." It was described as equivalent. I used this guide (skipping the Dvdshrink part at the start, since I already had my VOB's):

Originally, I had joined 45 minutes of clips together with TDA 1.6; burned it to a dvd. When I tried to add some more clips with TDA, the end of the 45 min. comp started to go out of sync (I posted this problem here but noone replied), so I tried Vobedit method.

Something went a miss during the process if audio is out .

That mock strip fix , to help dvdshrink load dvd , is a single , wrong value in ifo , just dont recall where it is at the moment , I ran across that myself well back .

If these clips where from other dvd's , did you check if they where in sync , some use delay audio value .

I should have just referred you to my TDA audio problem thread - it's too confusing trying to discuss both in one thread:

So do you think if I joined the VOBs again but fixed the vts another way, it would load correctly in TDA? I'm wondering if Vobedit is not joining the clips according to whatever dvd specs TDA follows.
