Hello y'all, I used the WinAVI to convert rmvb files (real player files) to VCD (MPEG files), after the successful conversion, the VCD file plays fine on my computer using Windows Media PLayer; however, when I go and play it on my DVD player, the audio and the visual are out of sync. I don't know why it happens like that when it just plays fine on my laptop? Can anyone help or have any suggestion to correct this?

    Thanks

Try something besides winavi for a start, or perhaps try another player since it plays ok on computers.

PCs are much more tolerant of things that cause sync errors on standalone DVD players. One possibility is that you used some bad settings on your conversion. For example, if the video bit rate is higher than normal for VCD (1150 Kbps constant bit rate is the norm), that can cause sync errors. You might try using the program Super, which is pretty easy to use and should give better results than WinAVI. Nobody here thinks much of WinAVI.
