    Hi,

I just downloaded Super 1 and tried to convert the *.VOB from the VIDEO_TS folder from a DVD movie (converted from DVDFab) to MPEG4 file. I dropped all the VOB files to the multimedia file and try to convert. I get error. :[

    What am I doing wrong?

    Here are my settings:

    output container: mp4
    output video codec: MPEG-4
    output audio codec: AAC

internal endoers: ffmpeg and x264 highlighted

    VIDEO: NoChange highlighted
    25 freame/sec highlighted
    1248 bitrate kbps
    hi quality/48k audio highlighted

    AUDIO: 4410 sampling freq
    2 channels
    64 kbps

    Any suggestion?
I like the tool and read the pdf file but all the jargons seem foreign to me.

SUPER may not be a great tool for that. You might try AutoGK instead as it may be better for your uses. You are apparently converting a DVD to H264 with AAC audio? That's going to be really slow. Or if you want easy, try FairUse Wizard. There is a freeware version on the FUW toolpage. They will both encode to Xvid or Divx, though. Or if you really want 264, try MEgui and X264.

And what is the exact text of the error?

    Hello,
    1. First you need to join all of your movie.VOBs together into 1 large file before you feed it to an encoder. VOB2MPEG or even simpler VOBMerge will do this, I don't know if it's possible in DVDFab to rip your DVD without "file splitting" but that would work as well.

    2. Try this: https://forum.videohelp.com/topic331773.html It is for iPod conversion but it puts out really good quality MPEG-4 movies for any use, select widescreen or fullscreen and drag and drop.

    [hanks GMaq,

The VOB2MPG seems to work the best for me even though the audio volume is substandard.

    DVDFab HD Decrypter = Free
    DVDFab Platinum = Not free.
Just "DVDFab" could refer to either.
Platinum uses libavcodec (x264) for encoding anyway.

AFAIK, DVDFAb = DVDFab Gold/Platinum, not HD Decrypter Soo OP should have stated proper description..I'm no mind reader and I doubt anyone else is...JMO..... BTW love FairUse Wizard = the free one.....
