I recorded a program on my PVR, transferred it to my PC. I now have two .ts files. I am told that one is an audio file and the other a video file. Ive tried burning them on to DVD using Nero but it doesnt work.

Can someone tell me how to do it ie what programs do I use etc or guide me to a link that will help.

    Many Thanks

.ts is usually a HD transport stream with both video and audio. try HDTVtoMPEG2 on the files. if they convert to mpeg2 then you need to re-encode the HD to SD mpg. when they are SD mpg you can then use them in an authoring program to make DVD files which you can then burn.

Ok, got it converted to MPEG2 using HDTVtoMPEG2 - many thanks for that. But after transferring from my PVR to PC im not getting any audio (either before or after conversion)??(Yes, volume contol is on).

How do I "re-encode HD to SD mpg" ? Not sure what u are talking about here. Does HD = (PVR) Hard Drive? And SD?

When I get them to SD mpg what 'authorising program' might I use.

Try having a look at VSO ConvertXToDVD, I use it to convert HDTV TS files to DVD, just select teh first file and it does the rest, and it handles pretty much any other video format to DVD as well

Give it a go, the trial is fully functional for 30 days
