Here I found this interesting and very entertaining story
It is a very long reading, but make sure to read it all!

It is interesting reading, but dated 2001, with the last update 2005. While I don't know, I would hope a lot of those loopholes have been plugged since then. I use a simple software firewall that monitors outgoing packets and blocks and informs me of the 'odd' ones.

One of the problems I see with Vista at present is that it apparently doesn't block any outgoing packets as I understand. If this is correct, this seems a huge security flaw. But at least one company, ZoneAlarm seems to have a usable firewall for the OS. Others should follow or MS may correct that seeming mistake.

I see the ISPs flagged with a lot of the blame in that article. And I would agree when they don't respond or attempt to control their customers illegal activities when they have been informed. That hopefully has also changed since that article.

    Just my thoughts.

    Unfortunately hackers are improving too...

Anyways I am a little bit disappointed after what I read about BlackIce. Currently I am running 4 firewalls that cooperate just fine and I am pretty much invisible right now

As for the article my favorite part is chat between Mr. Gibson and b0ss
