Hey guys. Gotta question about audio in an XVID/AC3 tv episode. The music and environmental noises drown out the voices. At some points I can barley hear the voices, but the music and the othe rnoises are way louder. Someone suggested messing with the compression in Audacity. Is there a way to make the voices louder, or lower the volume of everything else bu the voices? Would compression change it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Anyone have some suggestions?

Do other AC3 sources play correctly to 5.1? In other words are you confident your monitoring is properly set up and you can hear all 6 channels?

What you describe is typical of listening to L and R channels without a center channel.
