  1. Hi
Is it possible to to get high quality video at low bitrate? I have a movie ripped from dvd and it is 700mb. I want to reduce it's size to 450mb without losing quality. Is it possible? I tried h264 avc video and aac audio and did achieve the target size but some videos are fine whereas i can notice some quality loss in others (i notice that the re encoded video is not as sharp as the original and the background is a bit grainy and pixelated during dark scenes). Is there anything i can do about it? I'm using mediacoder with 3 pass encoding (By the way,is it necessary or is 2 pass enough?) If there is any other program better than mediacoder please tell me.

    Thanks in advance
