  1. Hey guys, i was just wondering if its possible to burn a small iso to dvd, nero demands I use a cd.

I tried extracting the files then creating a new iso with folder2iso, but it still wants a cd.

Is there a program that will alow me to create an iso that will burn onto dvds?

  2. The problem is, Most DVD players or DVD-ROM's will not recognize the DVD unless it is a certain size...
2 DVD, or not 2 DVD, that is the question.

For ISO's I would try ImgBurn instead, but what cim mentions may be a problem. And concerning Folder2ISO, if you read the information about it on our tool page, it states, 'Don't use it for DVD-Video burning.' And that may be your problem.

I'd use a different program to create the ISO. ImgBurn can also create a ISO. But you don't need an ISO just to burn to DVD, you can use the VIDEO_TS folder by itself with ImgBurn in 'Build' mode.

I'm also assuming you have a DVD compliant VIDEO_TS folder in that ISO, or it wouldn't work anyway, at least with a regular DVD player.

    And welcome to our forums.

DVD-Video spec expects lead-out to be filled through to 1GB (even this doesn't seem to matter with many players), but other than that, there is NO size restriction.

Modern Nero has some limited vision of ISO imagefile capability--I wouldn't use it.

I agree with Redwudz, use IMGBurn, Build Mode.

Yes, ImgBurn should work well enough for that. If you are using Nero, you can use the 'Recorder>Burn Image' settings and it should also work. Just for general info, a ISO can contain about anything, from a DVD to a VCD or a program as you have. It's just a container.

  7. Nero wouldnt work, unless there is a different burn image than the one I tried. Same with magiciso, they both asked for cd's >_<.
