    Hi
Ive got a quite long videoclip, I hope I can get to play. It is an avi file, I shot with my cell phone, but unfortunately it ran out of battery. I have transfered the to my computer, but none of the programs, I've got (both windows and linux) could get anything from it.
Even though recording was uncorrectly ended, it must have recorded something. Can I in any way get that (as video or single frames)? I would really appreciate that.
    Thanks in advantage

    Super , add video .
Up right , hit other options "o"
Select option in new box "encode for duration"

Hell ... no idea , but it has a bad habit of being able to do almost anything , and get users out of trouble .

I thought in a previous version of super it had encode from frame > to frame ... not there now ... or maybe I was seeing things .

VLC plays most cellphone video. If like most it is MJPEG, Windows Movie Maker is also likely to play it.

Since it's AVI, you can try seeing if VirtualDub will correct any of the problems. If VirtualDub will load it, it should attempt to fix the AVI's index, and from there, you can also use the "Scan video stream for errors..." command (under the Video menu).

The super program didn't work - it made an error, I couldn't find a solution to.
The other programs, I've tried is Windows Media Player 9, VLC, Realplayer, Kaffeine, Totem, ACDSee, Avidemux, mediacoder - and maybe others, I've forgotton about.
Well I got some more info about the file through all these progs. It's 23:58 minutes long, xvid 41 mb
Apparantly, the file header/footer thing (i dont know) is missing

Have you tried any of the repair tools found in the tool section (here)? I haven't tried any of them myself but I guess it's at least worth a try.

    Thanks, but unfortunately, none worked.
Isn't it possible just to extract the frame data to image files ?
(I can always sort and recompile those)
