Hi
I've just picked up a new TV tuner for my system and hooked it up. I tried installing Btwincap drivers because I heard they were good. Unfortunately, it didn't work and I decided to stick to the Leadtek drivers. This ended up being even worse as I wasn't able to even install them - the installation window would come up and then a splash screen later, everything would just go. I downloaded the new drivers online and wasn't able to get the card to work with those either - the PVR software just said no capture device found.
After a few hours of tinkering, I managed to get the card working on the btwincap drivers. I have two problems though. Which program would be the best to capture? I tried VirtualVCR, and while that works great, the signal quality is awful. Its got a weird hissing sound to it and not very clear. I checked the signal using DScaler and it was only a little better - but DScaler allowed me to fine tune the channels so I get a good picture. Can anyone suggest a good capture program?
Also, i connected to the line out of my card to the line in on the on-board sound card. Is this the cause of the weird hissing noise? It doesn't come on all channels, so it could also be down to fine tuning.
Cheers!
