Hi!
I am a newbie to HDV and I have a Canon HV10. I imported the HDV onto my MacBook Pro (2.3 GHz, 2GB RAM and 120GB HD). When I play the video in iMovie, it plays well with audio. However, when I export the movie into iDVD and burn a DVD to play on my home DVD player, trouble begins. The DVD plays well, but not with audio. Its like watching a silent movie.
I am sure I am not the first one to get the problem, but couldn't find out what the solution is. Can someone please help?
Thanks
Sri.

When recording in HDV mode your camcorder records MPEG audio. This is not an audio format supported by iDVD. You either need to convert this to PCM audio (possibly with MPEG Streamclip or QuickTime Pro and add it as a new audio track in iMovie, or you should use Toast to make the DVDs from your iMovie.
