    is there anyway to pause VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod whilst they are encoding a movie

  2. No but you can set the processing priority to idle and it will have very little impact on system performance.

    so this will make virtualdub use less memory is that what you mean as this is what my problem is really I need to pause sometimes to free up memory until i can afford to buy more

  4. VirtualDub usually doesn't use much memory. Typically 25 to 30 MB. If you have 768 MB VirtualDub's memory usage shouldn't be an issue.

    so by doing what you have said will be better then yeah not use too much resources then as you say set to idle and it will have very little impact on system performance have i got this right now and I have 768mb ram

  6. Yes, if you set VirtualDub to idle priority and minimize it's windows you won't even notice the program is running.
