Been putting together some music video compilations. Converting all to 16:9 with Mainconcept. I play them on a Panasonic plasma in my tavern so perfect quality is not a big concern, but correct proportions are (lots of very attractive women in them). AVi's are no problem. Have found a source for PAL VOBs (I'm NTSC). They are mostly FS with WS vids. Trying go get them right using Crop and Scale is a pain. I usually have to grab a screenshot from WMC, open it in my graphics app and then measure the bars and or the vid itself.

Is there a quicker, easier way?

    I use both below:

    - a calculator and some math

    - using avisynth script and open in a media player (mpc, bsplayer) and set to 16:9

takes no more than a few seconds adjusting the script if need be, and opening in the player
