make a .3gp file smaller

I have this short movie clip which is in .mpg format which i converted to .3gp for my mobile but its now 17mb is there a program to make this file smaller to use on my mobile

Not a by adding another program (which did you use in the first place?), but by using a lower video (and perhaps even audio) bitrate when you encode to 3gp, you'll get a smaller file - simple as that. Try 3gp converter. Most problems are solved by using the right app right, not by adding more apps to the process.

I used ImToo mpeg encoder but will try what u suggested and let u know if it will shrink it smaller

well I tried 3gp converter movie was as .mpeg and 140mb after using 3gp converter it made it 20mb which is still too big for a mobile

Try Super..... to create a 3gp file....

where on super do it say its for .3gp as I cannot see it

What do you mean by short clip? if you have ashort 20min clip it will have a "big" file size even in3gp

As mats stated in his response, if you lower the video bitrate and perhaps audio as well, you'll have a smaller file size when you encode......

ok I can see where it shows how to lower video and audio bitrate the file is .mpeg and now when i try and convert to .3gp all it says now is fail cannot understand this as it worked b4
