  1. Hi all,

havent been here for quite some time. I have a delima.

I recorder several shows into a DVD-RAM using my Panasonic DMR-ES25 DVD recorder.
I can take this dvd, put it into my DVD-RW on my PC and am able to view the show (shows up as 1 show).

I would like to transfer this DVD to AVI/MPG so I can edit it and remove the commercials, then make chapters for every show (6 in total) then re-burn it to DVD.

What software to I need to do all this (prefeerable free, but if I have to buy 1 software that will do all this, then im willing to do that).

Is there a guide for this?

    Thanks for the help.

  3. I use Tmpgenc MPEG editor to import the shows from disc to my hard drive, edit them, then export to an mpeg2 ready for authoring, this is pretty quick with no re-encoding required.

  4. isnt there free tools to do this?

I downloaded tmpgenc dvd author, everything seems good but when editing the different shows, it does not allow me to cut (delete) the scenes (commercial)...
