Hello guys,
I am encoding a few videos using quicktime pro and h.264 codec to blip.tv. Whenever it opens up in a web browser it needs to load ALL the way before it shows up. Is there anyway I can make it more "streaming" compatible so it shows up fast and able to play only with short delay while the video continues to download?

For streaming, QuickTime files, no matter the codec, need "streaming hints" included with the video file. Once that happens, the video file needs to be included on a streaming server with QuickTime Streaming Server software installed.
For my work purposes, I have yet to conquer this, but other folks on blip.tv seem to have it in the bag. I like Josh Leo. Maybe you can shoot an email to him? I've gone back to low bitrate MPEG1 in my professional applications .. for two reasons: nearly 15 years after its introduction commercially, home users internet connections have finally caught up with it, and it can be decoded on almost every device on the planet because its so old. -
