While my media center PC is "sick" I am using a PC that is unable to ouput 16:9 resolutions - I can get 4:3 output onlyI use VLC for most playback and that allows me to resize the video so it displays properly on my HD TV. However I have problems with WMV files which currently only play within WMP 10.x
In WMP 10 under Devices/ Display there is an apparent option for changing the playback resolution (by adjusting the elipse/circle) but that is making no difference on my display, it shows the same whether I adjust the slider midway, all-to-the-left, or all-to-the-right
so question - how within WMP 10.x can I adjust the video playback resolution so it appears proper on my 16:9 TV? or is there a way within VLC to playback WMV or another program that I can use?
