  1. I can't seem to get this one done. I've tried using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink with no sucess. DVDFab seems to work but I can't open up the folder in Shrink. Not sure what to do next. Any suggestions?

I was only able to back this up with AnyDVD, which annoys me b/c it isn't freeware. I am on the 21 day trial. RipIt4Me doesn't work and really is wack b/c it forces you to click on dozens of retry screens. Ughh.

Any thoughts for freeware fixes for this and I am assuming other tougher encryption?

DVDFab Decrypter was just updated on the 14th of December.

    Give it a try now.

Calm down Adolph, my tools are usually updated before I ask a question. It just so happened I hit a snag and I came to a forum created for questions like the one I had.

Ya guys I used Ripit4me with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. It did however take about an hour but now I am able to burn any DVD I want cuz AnyDVD works well as well but I like Ripit4me alot better because it does all the work for you. Plus I have my copy of Talladega now. Keep it real guys.

After I read this thread, I thought I would pop in my copy of it. (Got it for Christmas.) Ripped it no problem using ripit4me. Did seem to take a little longer than usual, but it did rip. Quickly becoming my favorite ripping tool!!!

If your ripping is slow when using DVD Decrypter on protected DVDs, I have read that checking the "cycle tray after bad sector" option in DVD Decrypter ("General" tab) can speed up the rip tremendously on some drives. My Nec recovers from read-errors very quickly, but some drive switch to very slow ripping after a couple read-errors... The DVD Decrypter option avoids that.

Couldn't get it to rip with straight DVDShrink or DVD Decrypter. Tried RipIt4Me and FixVTS for the first time, and it worked like a charm. Have found a new FREE alternative to straight decrypter.

Ummm...that's because of the new CP's they have been using on new releases for the last year+ and DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink have not been updated in at least that long.

I have yet to not be able to BU a dvd with DVDFab Decrypter (also free) and only one self contained program to keep track of, i've never even DLed RipIt4Me yet.

I'm new to the forum so please excuse any ignorance but I have all the most updated versions of AnyDVD, DVD Decrypter, DVDFab Decrypter, RipIt4me and received errors with all of them when I was backing up Talladega. I've always been able to use at least 1 of them to backup everything. Can it be a hardware issue (though I haven't had any with any other DVD)? thanks!

If you have AnyDVD running all the time they may just be tripping over each other. As many other seem to have successfully ripped this disc using many different methods, I would suggest the issue is you system, not the software.
