I DID SOMETHING WRONG BY PUTTING IN THE REGION CODE. MY PICTURE STARTED SCROLLING. I TRIED TO REMEMBER THE STEPS AND LOST THE PICTURE COMPLETLY..
QUESTION: IS THERE A WAY TO RESET THE DVD.

Sounds like you switched the format to PAL along the way.
This is the closest to a reset I can find
Open and close the drawer with no disc.
Press the STOP button on the player for 5 seconds
Although some say 5 seconds isn't long enough, so hold it for 10 or more to be sure.Read my blog here.

Hopefully the reset works. But in case it does not, I was able to fix my DVD Player once when I accidentally changed the Format (I went from NTSC to PAL).
I have a couple of capture devices, so I hooked the DVD Player into my capture device, set switches and software to preview PAL, and was able to see the PAL screen on my computer -- this allowed me to use the remote control to go through the menu setup on the dvd player to set it back to NTSC.
