Hi, I'm new to this video stuff, but I tried following a previous post to
playback a M4V file. The suggestion from a previous post was to use:
    > MediaPlayer Classic
    > QuickTime Alternative codec
    > DiVX codec
    > ffdshow
    > XviD

I couldn't get this to work right, so I tried the iTunes video facilities and that worked but the quality was choppy. Any thoughts?

    Try VLC Media player.

If you want to play in mpc or windows media player try install Haali Media Splitter for mp4/m4v video and enable h.264/avc in ffdshow under video codecs also.
