    Hello Friends,

I have Desktop computer without S-Video output. I want to connect my PC to TV to watch streaming movies.

Can you please suggest which video card to buy for S-Video output.

I have searched and found the one below. Will it suffice my requirement?

Unfortunately the card you referenced will not allow you to send computer based streaming video to a TV. It is a "TV card", which allows a computer to play and record TV shows. You'll need to buy a graphics card that has a TV out. Fortunately they can be had for not too much money, such as this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814102447. You'll definately want to get a card that is specific to the graphics card slot in your computer's mother board (if it has one: your user manual should have info on this; the card I linked to does not need a graphics card slot). Also, you'll want to connect your computer monitor to this card, it will most likely provide a much better display than your computer's integrated graphics.

Something else to consider is that the picture quality of that streaming video may be somewhat poor, even when viewed on a TV. Good Luck.

    Edit:
I forgot audio: the graphics card only does the picture and not the sound. You can either use your computer for sound, or connect an audio cable from your computer's audio line-out to your TV's audio-in so your TV plays the audio.

    Hi,

Thank you very much for your details. I am new to this, so not aware of Video cards.

Based on your suggestions, I checked and found the following one with 256MB memory. (is it adv to have more video memory)

    Thanks.

That card is perfect for what you want if you're absolutely sure that your computer's motherboard has a PCIe graphics card slot. The graphics card memory is only useful for computer games such as the Sims (which BTW will play acceptably well with that card); for video playback it really has no impact.
