Suggestion to make the video look better?!

Hi,



I have two video files and i want any suggestion to make the quality better as much as can of course if it possible to do that

1) the first video is for Kosoku Denjin Albegus anime series the quality is good but is there any suggestion to make it look better ?!

2) the second video is for Uchuusen Sagittarius anime series i want to re-size it to be 640x480 with the same quality or better if it possible ?!

Ok, i do some test on Kosoku Denjin Albegus video file in VirtualDub using MSN Cartoon Restore, MSN Old Color Restoration and RGB Equalizer. This is the result i got:

While I agree the blacks could be a tad darker, I don't like the change you made. You've killed the detail in the darks. Try just bumping contrast up just a tad and leave it at that. The original was pretty nice, just needs a little contrast bump.

The black level on the first video are way off. But in fixing them you've blown out the brights and gone overboard on the saturation. Also look into some deblocking and DCT (mosquito) noise removal. What you really should do is go back to the original interlaced source and perform a proper inverse telecine.

Try turning on the deblocking and deringing filters in the Xvid decoder. Or try MSU Smart Deblocking.

Your white levels look about right now. But your black levels are too high. Use the Levels filter to adjust the black levels.
