Depends what you're after, but I have never had any issues with www.centrecom.com.au or www.xtreemtc.com.au .

Stay well clear of www.cpl.net.au !
    If in doubt, Google it.

http://www.staticice.com.au/ is good for searching. Often (pretty much always if they stock it) Msy is the cheapest though and they don't have an online store.

What exactly is wrong with cpl? Only ever bought one thing from them and that wasn't online. Heard plenty of bad things about centrecom though.

    Really ?

Check out the whirlpool forums for CPL horror stories. My tale of woe with CPL is that I ordered some RAM on December 8, paid December 9, and goods got delivered on January 22. And I'm only 150kms away

I rang them on the 20th December and they were quite short on the phone, with the conversation going a little like this:

Me: "Hi, I ordered some RAM on the 8th December, purchase order xxxxx."
    Them: "So ... ?"
Me: "Well, I haven't received the goods yet."
    Them: "Oh ...."
Me: "Can you give me an estimated time of delivery ?"
Them: "The computer says they're paid for. They'll be on the way ..."
Me: "So I can expect them ..... when ?"
    Them: "Shortly."

It would have been quicker to walk there

    YMMV I guess

Centrecom OTOH have always been fantastic. The most I've had to wait was 3 weeks for a part they didn't have in stock and had to backorder. Parts in stock have reached me within 2-4 working days.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Well as I said it wasn't a delivery. cpl, msy, scorptec, pc.net.au, etc. are all around the same area and it isn't that far from me.

I have ordered numerous items from PC stores all around Australia (eyo, mats-systems, auspcmarket, etc.) though and never had an issue with any of them, so I would say that the quality of service on average is pretty high. Next day delivery often.

Still I would rather pick an item up in person if possible, makes things easier if I need to return it.

    For media http://www.jpldisplays.com.au/catalog/index.php is good.
