I have a group of divx files I would like to burn as a data disk to play on my stand alone player which plays DivX. I ripped them from a DVD+R using DVD Decryptor, extracted with WinRAR and they play fine on VLC player. However, after burning using Nero and Cyberlink, the result is audio and no video.

The properties of the source files say they are Windows Movies.

    G Spot says the following:
    Video CodecX50/div NameivX 6.0.0
    Audio Codec:0x0055 MPEG-1 Layer 3

I havn't had any problems before, but I have never ripped w/DVD Decryptor.

    Any Suggestions?

Ripping is only for commercial dvd-video and not divx files on a dvd. Just do a dvd backup using nero burning rom...if that wont work something else is wrong...maybe crappy media.

Your issue may just be the video codec that is being used ... divx6 , possible , some of the setting's that may have been used during the encoding are not supported ... I dont know if qpel is included , because divx6 caused problem's here ... beside's this version is junk .

You might want to open the clip in vdub , and change the video compressor to xvid , which would pose less issue's on the player ... I know my player's dont have issue with divx5 ... never tested them for divx6 ... will have to do that soon .
