Hi i have been on the internet for hours trying to find a solution to this problem. Anytime I play a Divx file, no matter what the player is, it always appears green as if it has a filter on it. I have uninstalled all my divx and xvid codecs, then tried serveral of the solutions that have been reccomended online such as FDDshow, 3ivx codec, and then just the divx and xvid codecs them selves. Each one of these made no difference, I can get movies to play on media player by turning the video acceleration down to half, but I want to put these movies on dvd's to use in other sources and I cannot do this as its all green.

Any idea what the problem is or how I can fix it? I am sorry if this is posted in the wrong plce I was unsure where to put it.

  2. Play a file with two players at once. Does one have the correct colors?

Anytime that I've seen the "green" screen when playing back videos, it has been a codec issue.

To verify, just install VLC or MPC. They each have their own codecs. If it works, then it is a codec issue. If it doesn't, then you most likely have a video driver problem...most likely the "video overlay" function.
