  1. I have a Dazzle Hollywood and have downloaded Vdub 1.4.8...I do not have anything in the preview window and get an error that says either it doesnt see the capture card or lower something to 16 bit instead of 24 bit, something like that. Ive tried to play those settings that it suggested and it does nothing When I look at the configuration settings on vdub it shows the Microsoft DV driver which works my power vcr, sony dv, wincoder, and other capture programs. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

  2. I think you may have a common problem, you need to download the WDM Wrapper, a Win utility, I use the ATI Radeon card but have seen this posted many time, try this, after you unzip right click on the INF file, then try VDub.

  5. I guess me and my dazzle hollywood are S#IT out of Luck for using VDub (

"VirtualDub says I don't have a capture device, but I know I have one.

VirtualDub needs a Video for Windows capture driver to capture. Most Firewire (DV) devices do not provide a VFW driver, and thus cannot be used by VirtualDub at all. Also, ATI appears to be shipping their current devices with a WDM (Windows Driver Model) driver only; this can be used indirectly by VirtualDub through a Microsoft wrapper, but it is crippled in functionality and it also appears that the wrapper is buggy. 7. Did Dazzle MainActor come with your Dazzle? If so it has a DV capture program, that works good.
