  1. Hi Everyone.

I am having trouble with my Nero 6.0 all of a sudden. I have backup a lot of movies and made my own home DVD in the past without any problems. I'm using the same brand disc.

This weekend I installed Netscape 7.1 (but I don't think this is the problem), ever since then my Nero has been acting up. Everytime towards the end of the burning process Nero would say Failed....Could Not Perform End Of Disc At Once. I don't understand considering I have made over 300 home DVD and backup DVDs without any error.

I tried to play the burnt disc, but they won't play.

I uninstalled Netscape, but same problem with Nero. I tried reinstalling the ASPI, but same problem. Finally I figure I will reinstall Nero, but I can't...when I go to install/remove program and click uninstall Nero, Windows is telling me that it can't find Nero (which doesn't make any sense at all because I know Nero is installed). I have not changed any settings in the NERO options.

I thought maybe my burner has gone bad, and tried buring with Primo DVD 2.0 (no problem), and Disc Juggler (no problem). I like Nero because it has the Auto Shutdown command when it's done buring and compatible with DVD Shrink.

Someone please tell me how I can fix this annoying problem with Nero. The disc is not the problem considering I'm using the same disc, and I can't uninstall NERO so I can reinstall it. I have been making home videos DVDs and backup DVDs for over 3 years not and never had this problem.

Thanks in advance..sorry for the lengthy post.

I was having this problem and I switched to another media (a different brand of DVD) and it seems to work fine.
I was using Phillips, and have been for years, but just now started getting this problem half-way through a spindle, must just have gotten into a bad batch.
I used a Verbatim DVD and no problems....
Good Luck, DVD burning is such a pain in the ass...

This problem is generally blamed on bad media.

I had this problem on a Samsung drive updated the firmware and did not have a recurrance with that spindle of media.

Had this problem with Staples 8x DVD+R (CMC) on my LG 4163B, all of the failed disks had obvious problems with the coating including lumps around the hole, no physical problems burned fine. Never had this problem with other CMC media.
