    Hi
I have questions about video bit rate in DVD and DIVX, can anybody help?
Video bit rate is constant in VCD and if we increase it, most VCD players don’t show it, how is DVD and DIVX?
What is maximum of bit rate in DVD-video? Can I increase Bit rate in DVD-Video for better quality? How much can I increase it? Can all DVD devices play DVD-Video with extra Bit rates? What about DIVX?
    Thanks
    Shahram

For DVD - See WHAT IS: DVD top left.
Since there is no std for AVI/DivX/XviD (like the DVD std), there's no limit to the bitrate allowed. However, every player has some limit to what they can handle. Same goes for resolution.
Also, remember that you can't add quality by reencoding at a higher bitrate.
