    Hello: I want to buy a DVD player for my parents, but their tv only has a cable outlet. Will a new DVD player still hook up? Thank-you.

    Buy your old folks a new TV as well. Make it a bigger Christmas gift. Normal CRT TV is cheap but if you have spare cash, get a LCD or Plasma.
