in the video playback on 2 of my dvd players ( both panasonics). and this is happening more and more. It plays on my cheap RCA however it's not an optical output, so i really want it to play on the panasonics. The burn is on Verbatims. I've tried recoming on diff. media's and using diff appz( dvdfab, shrink, nero), updated my firmware, no luck. this happens every so often. Any ideas?

maybe your panasonics are crapping out or are just not good at reading recordable media.

if it plays fine on the cheap rca, seems like there isnt anything wrong with the media, burner or app.. just your panasonics.. throw those panasonics in the trash and get some pioneers or some more cheap rca's.

Most DVD player review sites will state not to buy a Panasonic or Magnavox/Philips DVD player. They are rated low in quality and often die shortly after warranties run out. I personally had two Magnavoxs die on my recently that were purchased before the Philips buy out, and they worked poorly at best. So far, RCA works great, and many people recommended Toshiba (which is hard to find in some stores but can be purchased through Wal-Marts website for one). Hope that helped some.

  5. Its not called jumping, its called skipping. There are a lot of forum topics on it. Try writing slower. Faster you write the more wobble there is. Guess what? Dvd players aren't fond of wobble.
