  1. Hello,

Sometimes I have a problem that when I burn a whole bunch of mp3 files to a cdrom, to be able to play them on my "living room" surround set, It looks as if some files were not burned to the cdr. But checking the disc in my computer proves that all burned files are present. What mp3 properties can cause a standalone dvd player not to be able to play or even read them?

    Thanks in advance.

check the bitrate of the mp3 files ... then check your dvd players manual to see what bitrates it can play .... make sure the files are within the allowable bitrates ... if not re-encode.

Also check the sample rates ... for mp3s it should be 44,100hz 16bit dual channel (stereo or joint stereo) ... (or single channel for mono files)

yep.. bitrate is usually the case.. most of the time the max for mp3's is 44,100hz 16bit @ 192CBR.. VBR will play but stutters or freezes a lot.

  4. Hi folks,

It was much easier. The file length. After having wasted some cdr's trying different settings, I found out that the missing files in the DVD menu were all more then average long.

    Thanks for the help anyway.
