    It isn't but it is. You see when i play the avi file it is fine, but when i try to convert it using TMPGEnc, the program thinks it's about 5 hours long, when it's actually about 2 hours long, but it then makes the file size about double. Does anybody know how to make the program think it's not 5 hours long? Maybe video properties, or settings inside TMPGEnc?

    or use something else for downloaded video like divxtodvd.

    Use GSpot on the source file to identify the audio type - I suspect it is VBR MP3, as this is known to throw TMPGEnc running time calculation similar to what you have described.
