    Hi!
    Just bought a DVP5960.
I'm was very happy with that player, until one of my DivX movies didn't play the audio.
I started checking the movies, and found some other movies with the same problem.
So I analyzed the movies with the GSpot 2.60 RC1 and found one common thing in the problematic movies: in all of them the audio was encoded in 32 kHz.

I extracted the audio , put the mp3 in a USB stick and inserted into the USB.
The player "started" playing (I can see the timer ) , but still without producing any sound.
I recoded the mp3 ( Lame ) to 128 CBR (just in case). Same result.
To confirm that the problem is in the 32kHz, I recoded the mp3 to 44.1 kHz, with the rest of the parameters same as in the previous test. Now the mp3 played perfectly.
So, I can definitely say that the problem is in the 32 kHz.
I'm I the only person with this problem ?
Or .. is my player defective ?

    Thx,
    Gabriel

I have now tested your mp3 file with both the good old
FW 12.06.36.24 and the latest FW 12.06.36.37
and it plays perfectly on both!

Ok, changing the player, found the problem :
    Mea culpa.
I was using the HDMI output, so the sound went at 32 kHz sampling to my TV which (apparently ) has problems with 32 kHz.
After I connected the old RCA (red and white) audio , it worked perfectly.
