Hi there i have got 6 xvid files which i want to convert to dvd format so that i can fit them onto one dvd 4.7gb.
The total size of all 6 files is 1.34gb.
Does anyone know of a peice of software or tutorial which will actually do just what i want?
Many thanks for any advice given.

The size is irrelevant. The total time is what is interesting.
Remember that 1 hour of video (with audio) takes up 1 DVD-R/+R disc in the best quality.

I believe you will be disappointed with the quality if you want all 6 titles on the same DVD disc, and will have to reduce the number.

Try out the very easy to use app: ConvertXtodvd

    regards

    Thanks for your advice.
If i say split it into 2 dvds there would be approx 85 mins on each disc would this be better?
Can i also do mutiple encodes with the above software.

I put 2hrs 50 min into the videohelp bitrate calculator - https://www.videohelp.com/calc.htm - and chose 192kbps audio. This resulted in a video bitrate of approximately 3400kbps, which should produce a reasonable result for 2-pass VBR using Half D1. Of course, it depends on the specs of your XVIDs to start with in determining if this will produce a satisfactory result or not.

http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm might provide some useful information. Of course, there's guides to the left as well that can tell you all you need to know.
    If in doubt, Google it.
