Colors are kinda off, but still good.

Color-scheme really could have been better though. Like this neat photoshop:

well they can't make it look like a real gun by law anymore...... - the paint that is - thats why they include neon highlights
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
Well, I don't think he meant the neon barrel tips. But black/gray color of the rest of it, instead of purple/green. If this is being sold at Walmart for about $20, I might go get one and repaint it. If it looks good, I might even sell a few customs on eBay.

Anyway, the classics line is not meant to look just like the original characters, but rather a "new take" on them while still also retaining much of their original elements.
The classic bumblebee is not a VW bug this time, but a yellow camaro(I think). Other than the different car mode, they still nailed his looks down pretty much. Very nice update to him.

A little modeling putty in a few strategic places, and that could easily be turned into a VW bug shape. That jet ski thing is retarded.
I have to say, that Megatron looks a lot better then the 1980s guns. I never liked the old 80s one, it was too goofy.
You have to remember NONE of the Transformers from the early years were made from the toon. Indeed, Transformers were various lesser-known Japanese and Taiwanese toys, repainted, and then a cartoon was made to sell them in the USA. The USA G1 toon was later dubbed into Japanese for Japan airplay. For example, most people remember that the TF G1 Jetfire toy was a Macross Valkyrie (Robotech Veritech) repainted. Likewise, some of the crappier toys (Ratchet, Megatron, etc) got facelifts on the actual toons, because the toys were so horrible.
Because of this, there are lots of "bootleg" casts still in Taiwan and Hong Kong and elsewhere. Even to this day, you can import the so-called TF knock-offs from Asia. It's really good for spare parts, to repair the "genuine" 80s toys.
You can also customize or repair the older TF G1 toys with more accurate labeling. Get them at www.reprolabels.comWant my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

If you change it then its NOT classic its a reimage at best.
They did release some classics a few years ago for those who wanted them but didn't want the actual original toys, sadly collectors and ebayers snatched almost all of them up and drove the price right up again. -

no thanks -
I bought some of these finally. They just appeared in stores a week ago. I have one to keep as-is, and another one to customize. And then a few extras to sell some customs. It'll be a while before I finish.
They look really nice. In fact, some of the other toys from the same "classic" line are great. They are more like the cartoon than the original toys were, especially in robot mode.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

haven't got the slightest interest in Transformers as I'm with Adam on the playing with women thing
. I'm pretty sure there's other 8 inch plastic toys women would be more interested in than Transformers
even so this may interest some of you although it's not the actual Transformers, it does mention it was a TV series in the USA. Contains excessive lead (can you still resell stuff like this?) and was recalled so even rarer these days

Is that the authentic voltron? Mine looks like this:
Of course, mine may be a genuine counterfeit .. I've had him 20+ years now .. I can't remember what the packaging looked like... heck, when you're 9, and you get something like that for Christmas .. the package lasts, well, as long as it takes to rip it apart...You are in breach of the forum rules and are being banned. I would say yours is the one shown in the recalled pic. The one for sale has many differences and is probably the counterfeit one (arms, head, front of legs)
